Adventure Therapy
Adventure Therapy
Adventure Therapy is the prescriptive use of adventure experiences provided by mental health professionals, often conducted in natural settings that kinesthetically engage clients on cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels." (Gass, Gillis, and Russell, 2012)
We combine conventional therapy sessions with an outdoor recreation experience to increase the effectiveness of treatment. Outdoor recreation experiences such as canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, paddle boarding etc. to increase connection and positive experience in treatment.
We utilize all four seasons to create mindful outdoor experiences that bring confidence, health, & Vitality in Body, Mind & Spirit.
Our guides and outdoor health professionals are trained experts in adventure and provide optimal support to help clients feel safe no matter the level of experience they have. There is still some risk involved in physical activity and all participants will need to read thoroughly and sign our terms and conditions & waiver before participating.
We can organize small group experiences or a 1:1 individualized experience.

Wilderness Therapy
Wilderness Therapy
Wilderness Therapy is a more invested form of Nature Therapy. This consists of spending time in the back county hiking/backpacking learning prmitive/survival skills.
We take small groups into Captiol Reef National Park for 3, 7, or 10 day expeditions where we immerse ourselves into nature allowing our body and mind to heal from the core.
In the back country we are free from modern day distractions such as the cell phone and surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.
Capitol Reef National Park is an International Dark Sky Park. We engage in Mindfulness Hikes, Experiential Group Activities, Yoga, Nutrition, Star Gazing and Simply Being in Nature’s simplicity to rebuild the brain, the body, and the mind to optimal health.
Wilderness Therapy has been intensely studied in the treatment of serious health concerns such as addiction.
These programs are combined with intense therapeutic experiences to rebuild the brain’s neuro-plasticity to overcome serious challenges.
We hope to continue research around how wilderness therapy can be most effective form of treatment in both mental and physical health concerns.
